23/2 The 10 weeks standing photo is now on Bruisers "growing up page".

Here is what we did today, dummies are nice, but with feathers.....they are great! Bruiser seems to be a natural retriever (so far), and after he returned the dummy and got his rewards he went straight back to the place where he found the dummy to look for more!

8 februari "Bruiser" came to live with us, you can meet him on his own page Roughyeds Poseidon

In  July we went to Sweden for the Circuit Shows and the World Show.  On Friday 4/7 I judged the Curlies at the World Curly Coated Retriever Specialty Show.  I found my BIS in  Caballus Quantana Mera, BOS was Uved’s Zibibbo, and Heathermead Huxley was best veteran.
The next day was the Spaniel and Retriever Specialty. Andy was 1st in veteran class and best veteran. Sam was 2nd in veteran class and won the CAC and became Swedish Champion. Andy went in the end of the day 2nd Best veteran in Show!
At the World show it was the other way around, Sam won veteran class and Andy came second. So Sam has now besides his Junior  WW’98 title the Veteran WW’08 title.

Andy Best Veteran in Show

A few days later we arrived in Finland for the Finnish Curly weekend. We started on thursday where Darwin competed in the Retriever Working test. He passed the test which makes him an International Champion!! He is my 3rd International  Ch, so I’m very proud of this boy. On the last day of this wonderful organized  4 days event was the Championship Show, with a record entry of 24 puppies and 70 adults entered under Australian Jamie Hubbard. It was Andy’s first show in Finland, just a few km’s from where he was born 10 years ago. The title of Finnish Champion was the only missing title for him, so I was hoping for that. He won veteran class first, but then, in very heavy competition he won Best Dog and the CAC, and title Finnish Champion.  I knew it was going to be his very last show, and it was like he knew too because he showed like he was 5 years old, he really enjoyed going round the ring and Jamie Hubbard gave him BEST IN SHOW!!  It was the biggest Club show he has ever won, what a great way to end a dog’s show career , it was the diamond in his crown.  Andy is now a Champion in the following countries:  Netherlands, England, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway  and Finland. For a full list of titles please visit Andy’s page.
