Just back from our trip to the Curly World Congress in Shrewbury, Great Britain. Here are the results of my boys: Darwin and I trained very hard in English obedience for this limited obedience show. Judge was mrs. Lynne Luckock who enjoyed Darwin's performance.

I was pleased that Darwin performed well, we started in 2 classes and came 1st in Special Beginners 
AND 1st in Special Novice ! Special thanks to my very patient trainer Henneke Heideveld (http://www.hondentrainingheideveld.nl/) Bruiser was entered in the Championshipshow 
and won Yearling class!

On May 30 we had our Dutch Gundog Show, for Bruiser the first outdoor show, except for 2 two small shows as a puppy last year. Because we did not have a Club show this year we picked this show for Curly people to get together, and we had a great entry of 16 for Norwegian judge Vidar Grundetjern. Bruiser won from Intermediate class the CAC and BOB !! Here are some photo's

Darwin likes his new hobby, English style obedience. In Holland English obedience shows are organized by The Dutch Obedience Society, and on may 8 Darwin and I had our first go. We came 2nd in pre-beginners, and 5th in beginners class. On may 22 we had our second run, and Darwin was 1st in pre-beginners, and 3rd in beginners. This month the Dutch magazine "Hondenmanieren" published a portait about the Curly Coated Retriever. The coverphoto od Darwin was taken 6 years ago also in May, so they picked this photo to match the season. The portrait is 8 pages full with 14 photo's including a miniposter in the middle! So that is a great display for the breed! |
