After loosing both Vincent and Butch in 1999 it became quiet in the house. Andy was a very promising youngster so it was clearly too early to bring in a new Curly. In England I met some Lancashire Heelers and this little dogs really stole my heart. So different from a Curly, I can't explain what it is (only Heeler owners will understand!) but every time when I saw a Heeler and when the Heeler looked me in the eyes, I heard a little voice in my head whispering: "oh I want one". Well after a period of orientation in the breed I was lucky to pick up my Herbie. With the Foot & Mouth outbreak at it's peak my sister and I drove up to Lancashire and we brought Herbie home without any problems. I think the world of this little man, he brought sunshine back in this house.
Herbie's show results: Danish Champion Copenhagen Winner 2003 DKK Winner 2002, 2003 Finish Champion Nordic Winner 04
Lancashire Heelers can't be shown in many European countries as the breed is not FCI recognized. He mainly comes to the shows as Andy's mascot! Herbie has been shown in Denmark and placed a few times in England in his class.
Herbie's working results: Obedience GG1
Herbie's health results: Every 6 months Herbie's eyes will be checked for PLL and all other diseases. In 2009 the DNA test showed Herbie is CLEAR for Primary Lens Luxation Patella Luxation clear
